      Hi matthewbakerwtflolz, carrietrewen, glbrookes,

The most rewarding thing is getting a great new result. If you can show this to people, like other scientists or your supervisor, if they like it and agree, it’s a very good feeling. Other than that, it’s been a great pleasure to teach people – I’ve taught some young people from schools and also new scientists in my lab, and being able to help people learn science is a great and rewarding feeling.

I hope that answers your question! Let me know if I can help anymore

      Hi matthewbakerwtflolz, carrietrewen, glbrookes,
I would say the most rewarding thing about my job on a day to day basis is working with other scientist. I love to bounce ideas off of other people and get new ideas from them. I also love teaching people, I find it a real thrill to help someone else achieve something.
      Hope that answers your question.
      Pam 🙂

      Hi All
I would say the most rewarding thing about my work is seeing your ideas being put in to practice in an experiment. It really is an ace feeling to know that you have thought up an experiment to find out an answer to a question no-one knows the answer to and then get an answer.

It is how I imagine detectives feel when they solve a case. 🙂

      Hi guys,

Like the other scientists, I think it’s great when you find out something new. Seriously, you get so excited sometimes. In my office, if something goes well we celebrate. Firstly with a little dance in the middle of our room, a couple of hugs and then normally cake. And if things have gone really well sometimes our bosses will take us out for dinner and champagne……but that’s really for very special occasions!

One of the most rewarding things I find is actually doing something like this; communicating my science (and other peoples science) to guys like you who really want to learn. This is what i’d like to do when I finish my research!

      Cat
