• Question: Thank you so much for answering my obsessive questions in chat! :D just one more question, how did you decide between a doctor and a lawyer because I am having this dilemna as well...?

      Hi 08kcheung!

That you for asking such great questions in chat. The students make it, the scientists are just one extra layer. Honestly, having people think about science to be able to ASK questions is probably a better skill than just being able to answer them!

The thing with law is that is seems like a lot of reading, and it can maybe be a little boring. I imagine the pay is great though, and if you enjoy that kind of thing, it might be good! I decided against it because I had no experience of it. I’d strongly recommend trying to get practical work experience in law somehow before university.

As for doctors, well the degree to do is medicine. Ideally you should be good and enjoy biology and chemistry, but a big thing in medicine is tests and learning, I think you need a good memory, and that is why I didn’t do it – I doubted myself. Actually, now I believe I could have chosen either path in life.

But I do not regret the one I take now, and a very very important thing to remember… You are rarely limited in life. I can still become a doctor or lawyer if I wanted. Usually the only issue is having the money to do this, so never worry, and never doubt yourself if you want to do something in the future.

Just work hard and if you can – get work experience, because I think that can help a lot, and will also give you a fantastic idea of what the kind of work is like.

      I hope this helps 😀

Please let me know if I can help any more!

      Thank you for your question,

      Daz
